Also known as ‘Learning for Mastery’, students are expected to gain proficiency in each concept before progressing to interconnected concepts. The focus of Mastery Learning is on the significance of feedback in the learning process, and it encourages students to learn at their own speed as they acquire skills and advance towards their learning objectives.

Through meticulous implementation and enhancement, edaptAI has integrated the most effective mastery learning techniques into its fundamental pedagogy. These include one-on-one instruction, reinforcement, feedback-corrective mastery learning, cues and explanations, initial cognitive prerequisites, and independent intervention.

Our research into Mastery Learning was motivated by ‘The 2 Sigma Problem: The Search for Methods of Group Instruction as Effective as One-to-One Tutoring’ by Bloom, B. S. (1984).”
